Among paper makers, there is a belief that sizing makes the paper acidic and causes the work to deteriorate more quickly. It would be interesting if we could discuss whether sizing is a necessary evil.

紙漉き職人の間では、礬砂は紙を酸性にし、作品の劣化を早めるという考えがあります。礬砂引きは必要悪なのかどうか、という議論も一緒にできたら面白いと思います。
